Building Blocks

Using some old fabric I have, I first made a tiny square stencil so my squares would be around the same size
I then cut out a square
 Did it 6 times
The took the first two squares and sewed them together with a simple stitch.
One more block and we will be ready to sew it into a block.
 It's taking shape! :)
What it looks like on the inside
Now what it looks like on the outside. Put cotton in it and then close it up and block is all done. Do this till you have the number of blocks you want.

I decided to make these because I realized how expensive the cloth blocks are in stores (some up to $20+). So I wanted to make it homemade and cheap and there it is.

Flutter!

This only took like 10-15 minutes, I was just tinkering! Could be MUCH better and I plan on doing that better one later, for sure! I hope you like it :)

Little Angel!

Decided to create my frist Angel. I wasn't sure how to start but I ended up with a decent looking Angel. She was fun and easy to make too. Here are some photos :) Please comment if you have any questions! Thanks!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Made some crafts with my little one! Little card-like things for Halloween, again to my Grandma/Grandpa, and my great grandparents also. They will love them. Zeraea did great for doing 4 handprints! I love my baby girl! :)

Foxy!

Body of the Fox is done, and now it is time to add the details! (the fun part lol)  :)
All I did was add the white to the cheeks and the under-jaw, and took my needle point tool (if you don't have it, check it out on my Amazon listing on the right side of my blog!). I striated out the tail a bit, I think it looked better, you can keep it any way you prefer though of course!

I added the white to the tail, and ears. Black for the legs, nose and eyes. To put the white over the tail and black around the feet, I used my pasta machine and set it to the thinnest setting and it worked perfectly (also in my blogs sidebar, check it out! It's a life saver!!)

Close up, again I just took my needle point tool and stroked it on the clay to make the apperence of fur. Not to bad lol
Added roses from my previous post and ALL DONE! :)

I started making this as a Halloween gift (even though it isn't Halloween themed), for my Great Grandma and Grandpa Fox (hint their last name!). They have always loved foxes, so I decided to make one for them. I'm sure it will put a smile on my Great Grandparents face, something they need right now with my Great Grand-father in the hospital. I hope you all enjoyed this post! Please feel free to comment this post or any other one for requests.

How To Make Clay Roses!

This is a step-by-step guide to making beautiful clay roses, very simple and quick! Hope you like! :)

Step #1: Roll clay into a ball, then roll out into a worm.

Step #2: Pinch one end with your fingers, and draw it out, as shown below.

Step #3: Continue to do step #2 till all the worm is pinched.

Step #4: Begin to roll one end, doing it tight as first and then roll lightly.

Step #5: Once it is all rolled, flare out petals as you see fit.

Hope you enjoyed and you found it easy! Thanks!
I do take recommendations on crafts if you have any ideas, I am willing to try! :)

Baby Jar Snow Globe!

My baby started eating food, which leaves me with unused baby jars. I automatically didn't want to throw them away, feeling like I could use them somehow. And now, my one and only Snow globe, which has a tiny pine tree and snowman in it.

Just take a clean baby food jar, make something (baked or unbaked). I recommend baked, because with this one, I did it unbaked and when I placed it in the water and glitter that was in the jar, it stuck to my creation, it looks fine but it just means there is less to fly around in your jar. After baking the creation on the lid. Put water and glitter in the jar, and then place the creation in it and turn shut. Now shake it and watch your creation come to life!

First Baby!

This is my attempt in making model clay babies. I found this very difficult without having the correct tools at the time. Their tiny size made it even more difficult. I saw them different in my mind than they actually turned out! I admit, I need to take my time and learn to finish a creation. You can tell they are no where near perfect, but again, as a beginner. I am trying! :)

Halloween Inspired!

My own version of Casper! A tiny, cute ghost holding a pumpkin. I find it simple, yet still cute! It's only about 3in tall. It was simple to make because there wasn't really much detailing! It's really just 5 balls of white clay, all in different sizes. And one ball of orange clay. All put together to make Casper!

Panda Family of Three!

This was my hardest undertaking yet. It's a panda family of three! Two cubs and the mama. The cubs are climbing up a tree. I think this was the hardest yet, because it is BIG. It stands about 9in tall, and about 5-6in wide. The tree leaves, I made individually by hand! (talk about taking a LONG time). Each leaf is different from shape, to color. The Tree, I found difficult to make sturdy enough to make it stand up all by itself. I have to admit, the panda cubs at it's base helped! Each process was a learning experience. Again, I may have rushed like every other time, still working on that! I just need to learn how to make the finished product, smooth and fingerprint free!!

New to Polymer Creation!

This is my new hobby! Since having a baby, I tried to figure out something that I could sink myself into and drown out everything and relax and I found that something in Polymer clay! Just being able to create anything my mind could imagine, and anything my fingers can create, is so exciting. I hope with time, my knowledge of different things will grow and make me a better artist! :)

Honestly, I had NO idea what to do! I had this piece of clay in my hands, and I just stared at it. Few minutes later their were tiny little creatures in front of me, staring at me. A little, elephant, Lion, Penguin, Zebra, Giraffe, etc. I wouldn't say perfection! But not TOO bad.

With willingness to learn, I think that with time my creations will look better and better. My weakness I will need to overcome in my patience, I have always finished projects fast.

Well, I guess we'll see!! :)
